Our Story

"No prisa loca..."
"No Prisa Loca" is a wonderfully Spanish expression that roughly translates to "No mad rush"
It's an ethos that perfectly captures the spirit of Three Dams Estate.
As frequent visitors to Spain, we always admired the easy, convivial pace of life on the Iberian Peninsula. Time seems to slow down. Meals are shared, conversations linger, and life's simple pleasures are savoured rather than rushed.
Three Dams Estate began as a shared dream between professional orchestral musician Evan Pritchard and teacher and former chef Wendy Johnstone, and was created with that same philosophy in mind. Our vision has always been to offer a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy good food, good wine and good company.
Inspired by Spain's vibrant tapas culture and relaxed approach to life, we serve simple, seasonal tapas alongside handcrafted wines made with minimal intervention. Everything we do reflects the belief that the best moments are those shared around a table, with a glass in hand and no reason to hurry.
So, settle in, relax, and embrace No Prisa Loca!
Sustainability
"Dedicated to sustainability" is a phrase we seem to hear everyday! Here at Three Dams Estate, this is not just a philosophy but a way of life.
We harness every ray of sunlight to power our winery, house and car. Every raindrop is collected to feed our vineyards, make our wine and water our vegetable gardens, olive trees and orchard.
As much as possible is recycled and reused.
Even the house was saved from demolition and repurposed!
Minimal impact
Our wines are crafted using traditional techniques. Gentle basket pressing, open fermentations, natural yeasts and minimal sulphur additions.
We believe in the hands off approach to winemaking-letting the vineyard and fruit do the talking.
No added anything, just our passion and love for making great wines.
